“Music intrigues me, the reason being is that I see the power of a melody. I see deeper than the sound, I see the power it has with people” explains Mike Louis, “When the voice inside speaks to me, I want to be able to record what I hear, the sounds just start coming to me, that’s why I produce”

Born in New York, Mike Louis acquired a taste for all types of music at a young age, listening primarily to hip hop during its heights, he was intrigued with the effects of hip hop on society.

“I’ve never seen anything like this, hip hop without a doubt has left its mark on society, effecting primarily what the younger people buy, wear, eat and listen to. It is undoubtedly the most influential genre in one of the most influential forms of media in existence today”

Growing up, Louis had a habit of doing what he wanted, when he wanted, soon he had to deal with heavy alcohol abuse problems. His life was spiraling downhill after he graduated from high school with heavy drinking. He was motivated to better himself, by starting a clothing business, but his lifestyle quickly drained the life out of his first endeavor, causing the end of his first company.

“I wanted to make things better, I wanted to make money and go on, but my lifestyle was bringing me down, its like I couldn’t move. All I was looking forward to was the drinking in the night ahead, when I should have been focusing”

On top of that, a neurological disability overtook him and caused him to look at life though a different set of eyes. That was the point where he knew things had to change.

Changed Man

He stopped drinking, went back to school to learn advertising, started a new business and became a man. Not letting life push him around any longer, he pushed back, starting an ad agency that has grown an astronomical rate in just one year, all while in college at night.

“To me, school is not there for a degree, although I will obtain one, I am their to learn and apply what I learn to my businesses” explains Louis “ My mind is my greatest physical asset and if I feed it, I can do things people think are impossible”

The Throne

Today, Louis is an S-Throne producer, currently working on the album “That’s why we call it S-Throne”
He lives in New York, considering Los Angeles, still pursuing education, new business ventures and lucrative deals. A motivated man going up against all odds, beating them and coming out to tell his story.

“Never go along with the crowd, what good is it to be like everyone else. Growing up, we are told to seek out the sure, safe things. Not taking any risks. The truth is, if you don’t take any risks, you will never achieve anything great. You have to step out on the water and try. Have a little faith. Pessimism is a plague, stay clear away from it.”
